What Is The Racing Insiders on MAVTV and Motors TV?
"The Racing Insiders" is a weekly "talking heads" 30-minute news show, covering Sports Car racing in North America and cross the Globe. The Show is focused on providing passionate fans with "Behind the scenes, cutting edge information. Each show provides conversation on a variety of topics from the top pro racing series (Grand Am, ALMS, Pirelli World Challenge, DTM, World Endurance Championship, WRC, Formula Drift, Global RallyCross and Rally America, just to name a few) as well as the Club/Amateur racing community (SCCA and NASA) giving viewer's in-depth knowledge.
The Racing Insiders airs weekly on MAVTV Network 15 countries across the Americas & Caribbean Islands with a reach of 43 million and on MAVTV in 40 countries across Europe, with 26 million households subscribing by satellite, cable and ADSL Attracting a target demographic of 25 to 54 year olds. Both of our network partners boast programming which includes several Motorsport programs from the top racing series from around the globe.
How we started
We started from humble beginnings, just a few guys passionate about sports car racing, asking the question why isn't there a good video news source available on the Net or TV? After getting tired of asking this question and getting no answers, we decided to create one for ourselves. Out of our own pockets.
We start out as a weekly Internet show "The Insiders' Report" and promoted it to our friends in the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and NASA (National Auto Sport Association) and it quickly gained popularity. After producing the show solely for the web for one year we decided to branch out to the American TV audience in hopes of reaching other types of Auto racing fans and introducing them to sports car racing. We were able to attract the attention of MAVTV in the United States and 15 South American and Caribbean countries. We then changed the name of the show to "The Racing Insiders" to more clearly define what the show was about. The show gained additional popularity over the next several months and in September was picked up by Motors TV, which expanded our TV reach into 37 addition countries in Europe.
Although " The Racing Insider's" is now shown on Television, every episode in still produced with our Internet viewer fan base in mind, all episodes are available on the Internet through our YouTube channel.
Our Mission
Being able to "independently" report on the news and happenings in the sports car racing community is our mission. We continue to promote the sport by keeping the fans informed and bringing additional awareness and issues in racing without having to answer to advertisers, which may have their own agendas.
Why did we start a Crowd Funding campaign?
For the past two years this has been a self funded effort. Although we have taken our idea far from its humble start, we now look to step up our efforts to continue to provide the best Sports Car Racing magazine show on the net and TV to date. Funds will be spent to continue the show for another season, while increasing our reach and elevating the production value of the show to better service an expanding fan base. Additional funding will also enable us to have our production crew conduct field interviews with the top drivers from the track during race event weekends.
Producing The Racing Insiders has been both fun and rewarding, we look forward to continuing to serve our fellow sports car racing fans."
